Terms of service.

These Terms form a legal agreement between you and Sayso ("we", "us", "our"). By downloading, installing, or using the Sayso app you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. What Sayso does

Sayso is an iOS system keyboard that turns short voice or text prompts into a reply written in the tone, language, and persona you choose. The reply is produced by third-party large language models. Output may be incorrect, outdated, or inappropriate for your situation. You are responsible for reviewing any generated text before sending it.

2. Eligibility

• You must be at least 17 years old to use Sayso.
• You must not use Sayso where prohibited by local law.
• If you use Sayso on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.

3. Your account

You can use Sayso anonymously with a device-bound identifier, or create an account with email + password or Sign in with Apple. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at hello@usesayso.com if you suspect unauthorised access.

4. Subscriptions and billing

• Free tier. Three AI generations per day, limited packs, a small daily transcription quota, and access to the baseline model at no cost.
• Pro. A higher daily quota, all output languages, unlimited packs, and access to the upgraded generation model on demand.
• Pricing. Pro is sold as $24.99/month, $119.99/year, or $249 one-time (lifetime). Prices are set at purchase time and are billed by Apple through the App Store. Local currency, tax, and regional pricing apply as shown in the App Store at checkout.
• Auto-renewal. Monthly and yearly subscriptions auto-renew at the same period and price unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel in your Apple ID → Subscriptions settings.
• Free trial. Where a free trial is offered, you will be charged when the trial ends unless you cancel before then.
• Refunds. Refund requests are handled by Apple under its policy. We do not process refunds directly. Deleting your Sayso account does not cancel your App Store subscription — you must cancel that separately.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Sayso to:

• Generate or distribute illegal, hateful, harassing, defamatory, or sexually explicit content, or any content that sexualises or endangers minors.
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity in a way intended to deceive.
• Produce content designed to commit fraud, scams, phishing, or any unlawful financial activity.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or bypass the quotas or access controls of the service.
• Use automated means (bots, scripts, scrapers) to submit requests beyond normal personal use.
• Resell Sayso output at scale as a substitute for the service itself.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

6. AI output disclaimer

Text produced by Sayso is generated by machine learning models. It does not constitute legal, medical, financial, or professional advice. We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or appropriateness of any generated text. You are solely responsible for what you send using the app.

7. Intellectual property

• The Sayso app, its code, design, copy, and branding belong to us.
• Content you provide (contacts, custom scenes, tones, skills) remains yours. You grant us a limited licence to store and process it solely to provide the service to you.
• You own the AI-generated text you receive, subject to any restrictions imposed by the underlying model providers. AI-generated output may not be copyrightable in some jurisdictions.

8. Termination

You may stop using Sayso and cancel any subscription at any time. You can delete your account in Settings → Delete my data. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, if we are required to by law, or if continuing to serve you creates an unreasonable risk for us or other users. Subscription billing through Apple is handled independently by Apple's cancellation process.

9. Disclaimers

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION.

10. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE APP WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT, OR USD 50 IF YOU HAVE NOT PAID US.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which our operating entity is registered, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Nothing in this section overrides any mandatory consumer protection law in your country of residence.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced in-app or by email before they take effect. Continued use of Sayso after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
